The first step to understanding the scope of our NGO was to learn what shapes a child's learning experience in extreme poverty and to find out how we could make incremental improvements. We spoke to experts in the region such as the working professionals to find out what the most important tools are for the community.

Support from Local Communities

The location of our projects, scale and accessibility are critical to the overall success. Our non-for-profit organization wants to make the biggest but most realistic impact on the educational, social and health landscape of rural communities of Ethiopia. Our goal in Ethiopia was to discover the most persistent obstacles to poverty as well as the most important needs for rural communities.

End Result

Contextualizing the demands of Ethiopian rural communities living in extreme poverty has aided us in the construction of a well-equipped, bright, and accessible learning environment. We were able to identify the most persistent issues in our communities of interest, which are childcare centers, water wells, health clinics, and farming equipment and understood precisely what was needed to empower those people in the community. Thus every donation, is spent on those identified needs to lift the community out of poverty.
